Some Types of Works That Stimulate the Eyes
As a whole, this category of art is composed of creations that are worth looking at. Here is a description of some of these.
1. Mosaic
This is the practice of creating patterns by assembling small pieces of cubic or round-shaped stone. In the earlier periods of history these served to adorn the homes of the Hellenistic people. Later on, these were utilised to decorate a lot of Christian churches. As time passed, patterns varied from simple to complex, proving that even with the kind of materials, amazing images were still formed.
2. Film
It is a series of still images captured per millisecond using cameras that have the capacity to do such. This kind of work is very popular because it is a great source of entertainment, education, and communication. This is because of the different aspects of life that are captured and presented in various means.
3. Sculpture
This is a three-dimensional piece that is either copied from a possible object in the world or presented from the mind. To do this, the creator chooses to utilise one of the many different objects like stone, wood, and metal to shape his masterpiece. You can see a lot of these displayed in parks to remind the people of the good deeds of the person presented.
4. Photography
It is a practice of recording light to a medium sensitive to it through a device called a camera. It captures the radiation bouncing on objects and is then replicated on film or plate during the timed exposure. Today, you can see a lot of these stored in digital format, and this is what made the public appreciate it better.
5. Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI)
It is the application of device-generated effects to form different, and even seemingly impossible results. The creator is only limited by his imagination, and as such, it can now be incorporated in other media too, like images and films. However, this craft is best appreciated in computer games.
These are just a few of the many types of visual objects around. In fact, there are even a lot more.
